Marriage Retreats
"So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not
separate." Matthew 19:6
Every year several Northwest married couples attend a Marriage Retreat that is hosted by the
area Churches of Christ from all over the Midwest. The Marriage Retreat is an annual event
and has been in existence for 15 years. They take place in the month of October over a
weekend. The accommodations are always nice consisting of a nice room and other
amenities. The whole weekend is designed around marriage and rejuvenating your
relationship with one another. There is usually a theme that sets the tone for the weekend.
There are workshops and guest speakers that are just wonderful. There are other activities
that you can participate in as well. On Saturday night there is always a banquet that is
elegant and delicious. On Sunday, there is a church service. The price for the weekend is
not expensive when you consider the purpose, the fellowship you get with other couples, and
the great time you are guaranteed to have. This really is an event that all married couples
should participate in, especially newly weds.
